High School Study Skills

Who it is for:  

• Rising 9th through 12th graders who are looking to improve their study skills to be better prepared for the classroom environment. 

What it includes: 

• Application of capitalization and punctuation rules while writing and editing 

• Paragraph writing

• Outlining a paragraph and an essay

• Identify and create thesis statements 

• Reading/Listening comprehension strategies with higher order thinking questions 

• Annotating a text 

• Note-taking from a text 

• Note-taking from a lecture 

Prerequisites:

• Read close to grade level or above grade level 

• Able to write a sentence

• $250/week
